Yet many of our facilities are still in deplorable condition, forcing schools and colleges across the country to take on the enormous task of building new facilities and upgrading the old ones. Funding this construction requires a huge investment - an investment that must be protected.

in the October issues of School Planning & Management and College Planning & Management, the Managing Excellence - Delivering Success awards program is designed to share effective management techniques in the planning, design, and construction of a project from inception to completion. The focus of the awards will be on PROCESS, and showcase the methods and procedures used to efficiently control time, cost and quality in order to provide safe, secure and appropriate physical environments in which the educational process can take place.
