Her career began in 1991 when she became the first victim of date rape to speak out nationally about her experience at The College of William & Mary. She has appeared on the cover of TIME Magazine, The Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC Nightly News, CNBC Talk Live, CNN, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight and other national television programs. She is the subject of an HBO movie and has spoken at over 1,500 schools. Her audiences include the incoming classes at MIT, West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, Brown University, Amherst College, Williams College and many other top universities. Her testimony on Capitol Hill was instrumental in the passage of federal student safety legislation. |

Patrick Fiel Public Safety Advisor, ADT Security Services Patrick V. Fiel Sr. is the public safety advisor specializing in education for ADT Security Services, which provides services to more than 15,000 K-12 campuses. He brings more than 30 years of security/law enforcement experience to the position. He is the former executive director of school security of Washington, D.C. Public School System, where he managed 163 school campuses. Patrick is retired from the US Army Military Police Corps. He had operational and management oversight roles with the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) at the Pentagon, at NATO/SHAPE Headquarters - Belgium, and at West Point Military Academy. |
